Both the first and second stages were brewed in earthenware pots.
Seikou Uyoku is originally a blend of sweet potato shochu and rice shochu (9:1), but this black koji earthenware brew and aging Seikou Uyoku is made using only sweet potato shochu stored in an earthenware jar, resulting in a completely different flavor from regular Seikou Uyoku. The complex, robust aroma derived from the black koji allows you to taste the roasted grain flavor. The refreshing taste is complemented by the rich sweetness unique to black koji. In the mouth, it has a mellow, powerful umami flavor. We recommend drinking it on the rocks or with water.
