東京都・新島に蔵を構える宮原新島酒蒸留所は、大正15年（1926年）創業の歴史ある焼酎蔵です。伊豆諸島の豊かな自然に囲まれた環境で、島の気候風土をそのまま映し出すような“ゆるりと飲める島酒”を目指して焼酎造りを続けています。
蔵が大切にしているのは、味わいに奥行きがありながらも、毎日の晩酌でゆっくり飲み続けられる“飲み飽きしない焼酎”であること。島の人々の暮らしに寄り添う、素朴で温かみのある味わいが特徴です。
看板銘柄には、新島の名を冠した「嶋自慢」や「嶋焼酎」などがあり、麦焼酎を中心に、軽やかでまろやかな飲み口が魅力。ロックや水割りはもちろん、島の食文化に合わせた料理との相性も良く、ゆったりとした時間を楽しめる一本として人気があります。

It is brewed using specially cultivated rice grown with reduced pesticides in Ichisako, Kurihara City, Miyagi Prefecture. The shochu is not made with anything flashy or unusual. This is Tokyo Shimashu's only rice shochu, named with the intention of striving to be a little better, even if it is ordinary. The 25% ABV product is made with Hitomebore rice, bringing out the wonderful aroma and sweetness of the rice.
