This is Kumo's regular undiluted sake. Its 40% strength allows for the fragrant, sweet aroma of brown sugar and its deep richness and umami flavor. 山田酒造は昭和32年、農協の酒造場で黒糖焼酎造りに携わっていた初代が創業。
奄美大島でも極めて小さい焼酎蔵です。
家族と社員１人で丁寧に造る黒糖焼酎はとても深みのある味わい。3代目山田隆博さんはとても優しい蔵人さんです。
国内産黒糖（奄美大島産・沖縄県産）の黒糖のみを使用し風味豊かな黒糖焼酎造りを目指し、黒糖となるサトウキビの栽培および麹米となる米の栽培も行われています。わずかではありますが、『奄美大島産原料（自家栽培原料100％』の黒糖焼酎造りにも取り組んでいます。
