The word "the traditional" embodies the attitude that "we will create new traditions and leave them to future generations."
With regards to Aqua, water was the theme, and a 36% alcohol content undiluted liquor was diluted at a ratio of exactly 1:1 to bring the alcohol content down to 18%. Taking into consideration the properties of the water, its affinity with the alcohol, and its harmony, this was the perfect alcohol content to create the most expansive, deep, and clear flavor. The aromas of raisins, cherries, roses, and yogurt from the Fukumurasaki grapes are characteristic, and the strength derived from the no-added-yeast (natural yeast from the brewery) is toned down by the addition of water, resulting in a clear, stress-free taste.
Enjoy it simply on the rocks, or refrigerate the bottle and drink it straight. Warming it up like warmed sake will release its rich aroma.

焼酎造りの“命”とも言うべき麹造りを、九州でも三蔵しかないといわれる石造りの麹室にて行い、すべての銘柄を純手造りの製法により仕込んでいます。昔ながらの純手造りの焼酎蔵として鹿児島県霧島市にある国分平野と呼ばれる田園地帯にあり、1888年から今日まで続いています。
2024年4月9日出張 青山
蔵として、これからを生きる若い方をはじめたくさんの人々に、焼酎のなりたちや現在までの軌跡をしっかり伝えていきたいと考えているとのこと。
祖父の代までは「玉露」一本のみ。父の代から「なかむら」ブランド（当時の価格で玉露の倍近く）がスタートしています。
商品が売れずに何度も蔵をたたもうという話があった中、焼酎ブームが到来。なかむらもプレミア焼酎として人気に火が付く。祖父をはじめ家族が泣いて喜ぶ姿を目にし、慎弥さん自身も蔵を継ぐことを強く決意した。
農大で醸造学を学んだのち、山形の清酒蔵（「初孫」東北銘醸）で修行。そこで学んだ「良い酒造りは、良い麹から」の精神を何より大切に取り組んでいるとのこと。
麹造りの奥深さと、蔵の歴史を後世にまでしっかりと伝ていきたいという熱い思いを何より強く感じた。酒造りに携わる人々の情熱やこだわりを繋ぎながら今の蔵や焼酎文化があるということを受け止め、販売の立場からも多くの人々にそれらを届けていかなければならないと思った。
蔵の個性を活かし、伸ばしていく酒造りの考え方は、酒造りとは異なる立場の自分たちにとっても通じることが多くあり、共感できた。その蔵ならではの微生物の存在や働きも蔵の個性や歴史の積み重ねとして尊重し、共に暮らす家族のように大切に手仕事で向き合う姿に、杜氏としての愛を感じた。
高価格帯の商品（中村酒造場のものに限らず）については、様々な異なる趣味嗜好の人々に良さを伝え共有することの難しさを踏まえつつ、価値の捉え方や伝え方の手段を見直しながら販売の形を工夫していかなければならないと思った。
